Dr. Arcia Stokes, BM, MM, Ed.D

 Dr. Arcia M. Stokes is a seasoned Music Educator and Vocalist, specializing in singing, music education, vocal coaching, and developing successful music programs within the charter school environment. A classically trained singer, Arcia graduated from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and later earned a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance and Voice Pedagogy. After completing her Master’s degree, she worked as a music educator in the charter school sector, where she developed a curriculum for an entire district, which is still in use today. To broaden her scope, Dr. Stokes enrolled in a doctoral program at Rider University, where she earned a doctorate in educational leadership with an emphasis on leadership, management, and policy. Dr. Stokes has been invited to facilitate professional development throughout the tri-state area to help enhance and strengthen music educators’ teaching strategies.

Throughout her career, Dr. Stokes has collaborated with renowned musicians and artists like Kathleen Battle, Erykah Badu, Morris Robinson, Eric Owens, and various actors. She has graced prestigious venues such as the MET, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Kimmel Center, Kauffman Performing Arts Center, and more. In addition to teaching voice, Dr. Stokes has 10 years of experience in charter schools, where she played a key role in constructing and implementing music programs for students ranging from kindergarten to high school. As a fervent advocate for music education, she believes in its essential role within school systems globally.

Dr. Stokes passion for music and her journey towards wholeness and self-love drive Stokes Notes. She firmly believes that the fusion of music and self-assuredness has opened doors for her, and she is dedicated to imparting the same experience to her clients. Arcia is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity for Women.
